Pre-launch quote

We sold out two Vastrap nights in 36 hours. The 5.9% is real — I checked the ledger line by line. Paystack settled the next morning, the API let us drop tickets straight into our own site, and refunds for the comp list took us 90 seconds. Nothing on the local market comes close.

Safe resale

Ticket sold out?
Join the queue, not a scalper.

First listed, first sold. Capped at face value × 1.5. The seller’s bank is verified before the listing goes live. The ticket only releases when door staff scan you in — failed scan, full refund within 3 working days.

Questions, answered

The fine print, in plain English.

Why 5.9%? What's actually in that number?

Two parts: ~2.9% Paystack rails (the cost of moving the money) plus 3% EventU (our slice for the platform, support, payouts, resale, the API, gallery, marketing tools). 5.9% is the all-in number an organiser pays per sold ticket. There are no tiers, no setup fees, no per-event minimums.

Who pays the fee — me or the buyer?

Your call. Most organisers absorb it inside the ticket price. A few pass it on as a transparent line item. The 5.9% is calculated on gross, not on net — see the Pricing page for the worked example.

How fast do I get paid?

Paystack settles to your verified bank account on a daily cycle (T+1 business day for most banks). EventU doesn't sit between you and your money — we never custody the funds.

What happens if I want to refund a ticket?

Refunds are honoured per the policy you set on your event (CPA-aligned templates included). You issue from your dashboard, Paystack reverses the charge to the buyer, and our 5.9% on that ticket comes back too. No restocking fee, no admin charge.

Can I bring my own checkout / use the API?

Yes. The public REST API exposes events, tiers, availability, transactions, tickets, and webhooks. Self-serve token + webhook signing in the dashboard. Use it to sell on your own site and have us settle the rails.

What about resale?

Built in. First listed, first sold, capped at face value × 1.5. The seller's bank account is verified before the listing goes live, and the ticket only releases when a door staff member scans the buyer in. Failed scan = full refund within 3 working days.
